Objective: To protect, develop, support and promote all measures and steps towards open/free competitive marketing, trade and manufacture of all fertilizers and plant nutrients in Bangladesh as well as to co-ordinate the efforts of the members of the Association towards this end.

Representation in Government Sector: Represented in different Government Committees related to policy making and other agricultural development activities. Government has made BFA membership compulsory for fertilizer manufacturers, importers & dealers for better monitoring of their performance. BFA is also working with Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Industry.

Participation with International Organization: The Fertilizer Association of India (FAI), International Fertilizer Association (IFA), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC), International Potash Institute (IPI), International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI), International Zinc Association (IZA) & World Bank .

Member-Body: ‘A’ class active member-organization of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI).
